For those of you who still have a job and are looking to bulk up your business wardrobe or if you’re sprucing up for that important interview, the Theory sample sale in the Garment District is the place to go. Clothingline opened its doors a day early last week on Thursday for the sale. Despite the surprise opening, the space was mobbed with long lines to try on the clothes. The crowd did not astonish me since the Theory brand has a popular following. The sale is very organized with lots of merchandise; dresses ($99), blazers ($139), trousers ($89), skirts ($69) and blouses ($79) in all sizes.
Clothingline tends to slash the prices in the last few days of the sale. Since this one goes through Thursday (May 21), I suggest waiting for a better deal. Unless, of course, you need that perfect business outfit now.
