Walking around Soho, Fashionable Femme Jen stumbled on a sample sale being held by NYC based designer, Leila Shams. I must say I’ve never heard of the label and neither had Jen. But she ventured in to have a look and found lots of sequins and sexy dresses. Here’s Jen’s report:
Ring the buzzer and proceed up a set of stairs at 25-27 Mercer Street to get to the Leila Shams sample sale. Suite 2B is the unmarked one across from 2A. Once inside, there are 2 racks of dresses and separates and one rack of moto jackets in a variety of colors. Most of the assortment has sequins and is this season’s merchandise.
Pricing ranges between $90 and $300 and each piece has pricing clearly marked. Stand-outs are the Embroidered/Beaded Octo Mini for $140 (orig. $308), the black and grey Sequin Pencil Dress for $300 (orig. $660), the grey Paillette Mini for $100 (orig. $220) and assorted moto jackets for $273 each. The selection is sparse, but there is pretty much one in each size S/M/L. This is one for fans of the brand or sequin lovers! Sale ends tonight at 8pm.
