IF Boutique on Grand Street in Soho draws a select crowd of shoppers and many of them are serious about attending the store’s clearance sale. This season’s sale starts next Wednesday (August 15th) and if you’re a fan of the boutique, you’ll know it’s always held in the store’s basement level. The markdown is expected to be up to 85% off the original retail price.
At the store’s past sales, I found pieces from designers such as , Comme des Garcon, Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Maison Martin Margiela, Junya Watanabe, Yohji Yamamoto and more. The deals were especially good from Danish designer, Ivan Grundahl.

IF sale is awesome – but hurry things age going really fast. I found a great pair of Marsell tall boots for $300 (orig $1,450), a comme des garcons tunic for $78 ($260) a great belt for $65 and an ivan grundahl dress for $71 ($355). The place is a little crazy – the die hard IF shoppers know to get there early – I got in at 11:30 and things were going quickly. I don’t think they’re bringing out more things, but do check out the fitting room for items people tried on and left behind – that’s where I found some of my stuff !
