Elie Tahari Sample Sale: Size 4 and 6 Dominates

The Elie Tahari sale kicked off today near Bryant Park.  Artsy Anna ventured in to have a look yesterday (Tuesday) and gives us a short assessment of the sale:

Once I made it up the stairs to the second floor saleroom, I waited on a short line to check my coat and bag. After that it was inside to see the offerings.

I own a fair amount of Elie Tahari but this was my first time attending the brand’s sample sale. What surprised me was the amount of first-rate clothing available and the amount of shoppers.  I guess the secret is out that this sale is a good one. With the frenzy of this sale mid-morning, I think a lot of people must have been playing hooky from work.

The dresses are beautifully made, versatile, and a pleasure to own starting at $99.  The shoe selection ($79 and $99) is organized and easy to shop.  Women’s apparel starts at $19 for knits and goes up to $279 for leather jackets and coats, plus $499 for fur/shearling.  The small but quality men’s section (shirts & pants at $49, sweaters at $69, woven jackets at $99),  also was crowded. Overall, I was impressed and may even go back for another run through this sale.

You’ll find deals on women’s and men’s apparel and accessories at up to 70% off retail.  As one reader commented earlier, size 4 or 6 dominates a majority of the merchandise, as does smalls and XL.  For a complete look at pricing, check out the list in the photos below.
