Today is the last day of the DVF sample sale. If Thursday afternoon was any indication, we’re not sure what will be left on the last day. Artsy Anna reports on the shopping frenzy yesterday:
The sales floor, once overflowing with clothing sized from 0-14, is now a free for all. DVF fans were out in full force going through what was left hanging on the racks – mostly dresses (now at $100), some tops (now at $60), a few pants and skirts (now at $60). The sample sale rack was pretty thin as was the offerings for accessories. No more scarves. A few bathing suits and some belts for $20 and $40. As evident in the shoppers in attendance, the true genius of DVF is that the line appeals to women of all ages; I saw ladies age 16-60. The open space in the back where racks earlier this week stood stuffed with merchandise shows the popularity of this label. I left empty handed but may stop by Friday to see if prices are further reduced.
In previous sales, the prices have gone down further on the last day. Sale ends at 3pm today. Where/When: 260 Fifth Ave., nr. 28th St.; Thru June 11th F (9–3)
Hi Sally, hit up the sale in the morning nothing to interesting, I had my eyes on a really nice black long evening gown but that’s still $150 there were maybe only 2-3 styles of samples left over, I found 1 dress that was damaged but alas it was not my size. I quickly stopped in last night — there were no 0s left. A few 2s and 4s, mostly black sundresses, cotton tunic tops and some silk dresses. There was more available in sizes 6, 8 and 10. As for the sample sale rack, I spotted short-sleeved black viscose dresses in a size 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. The dresses were nothing special. Last season’s sale, the dresses were reduced to $80. If anyone knows what the prices are today, let us know.
I’ve got one of short-sleeved black viscose dress for $30 in size 6 and beautiful white linen Pants from sample rack for $30 so not so bad. I hoped to get wrap dress but they all been gone so next time
