In the Meatpacking District, you’ll find the David Lerner sample sale which ends today at 6pm. The designer is known for his signature high-quality leggings and other separates. With fall just around the corner, this is a chance to stock up on knit basics. The current spring/summer collection is at 40-70% off retail. Fashionable Femme Jen who checked out the goods yesterday found some really great deals. Here’s her report:
Stretchy sophistication and sexy silhouettes await the savvy shopper at the David Lerner sample sale. Situated in the brand’s sun-kissed showroom, stylish yet comfortable basics line racks in a subdued rainbow (black, brown, and olive). There’s also pops of color (such as orange, teal blue, bright pink) that peek from in between the myriad of body hugging pieces.
Pricing is pretty affordable, especially for the quality. Discounts on the 2012 spring and summer collection run up to 70-percent. As an added bonus, all of the garments are produced in midtown Manhattan—the brand’s production practices benefit the local economy!
Women’s tops are now at $15, skirts are going for $25, dresses are priced at $35 (originally priced at $75-$300), the highly sought-after leggings are tagged at $30 (originally priced at $90 to $205), sweats are $30 and leather shorts are going for $50 (originally priced at $200 and up).
There is a rack of basic tops (tanks, short-sleeved tees, long-sleeved tops), a rack of exercise wear (yoga pants, sports tanks, bike shorts, etc.), a rack of dresses (cutout dresses, one shoulder styles, variations on the little black dress). Plus, a couple racks of signature leggings can be had in a range of simple styles to cutout and leather trimmed styles pieces. One long table of men’s tops—still inside the packaging—is available. Both men and women’s sizing ranges from XS to L and there’s plenty of merchandise available.
