Looking for lingerie or loungewear? You’re best bet this week is to head over to the Cosabella sample sale in Soho. The sale kicked off yesterday… one of our newest contributors, Fashionable Femme Jen, checked it out. Jen found lots of underthings, sleepwear and more:
This sale is almost as hidden as the underthings themselves would be—nestled at the back of the store—past the greeter at the door, past the security guard in the black suit, past the sale rack in the back, behind the grey wall, and through the curtained doorway. Sales staff are helpful in getting you to where to go, after an initial few seconds of uncertainty. Just head all the way back!
Once in the sample sale room, you are met with hanging racks of babydolls for $60 (including the 24/7 slip dress, Tatiana Babydoll, and Ever Babydoll), solid and printed skirts for $40, chemises/short dresses for $60 and one rack of long dresses for $70. Size Medium has the greatest selection in this area, though there are some size small items scattered in between. A selection of bras, thongs, robes, camisoles, boxer shorts, and sleepwear sits in separate boxes in the middle of the room. One box each of One Size thongs ($15), Extended Size thongs, S/M thongs, M/L thongs, hot pants, boxers and robes are available to dig through. Some thongs are still in original packaging. Styles ranged from lacy to silky and there is a variety of plain and patterned.
For the most part, a wide variety of undergarments, sleepwear and summery dresses are available, especially for those who are size medium. The pricing is pretty good, especially if you are a fan of the brand. For the best selection, head to the sale before it is picked bare!
According to the staffers, there will only be a handful of items to come. Most of the merchandise is out. One staffer commented how jealous she was because they did not have a chance to pick through the merchandise yet. It wasn’t extremely busy for a Sunday afternoon, and the sale runs through Tuesday.
