If you’re a regular reader to my blog, you’ll know how much I love lingerie. Just can’t get enough. For that reason, I couldn’t miss the Araks sample sale. I’ve always been a fan of designer Araks Yeramyan’s soft stylish sensual underthings (made with natural fibers in the USA). Her pieces offer clean, minimalist lines in fashion-forward colors (bright, primary colors and dark, somber shades).
The sale got underway to a busy start but the shopping rush was quick as the showroom had cleared after an hour of opening the doors. Girls trying to get in some shopping before work. Many of the customers seemed to know what they wanted.
The front of the showroom is dedicated to the sale. Before shopping, you’ll need to check in your bag. The merchandise is hanging on racks as well as bargain bins ($10 and $20) on the floor. Various styles are represented on the racks so if you don’t see your size, just ask. There’s probably more in the back. Don’t skip the bins. You’ll find great deals in them starting at $10 for basic camisoles, bras and panties. For $35, you can get a cotton chemise trimmed with lace. There’s also swimwear sets for $40.
As for what’s hanging, there’s quite a number of lovely undergarments (some sets) such as cotton camisoles with silk trim going for $45 and $55 (in pastel colors: pink, lemonade and aloe as well as navy and black). There’s panties for $45 to $55. A sweet pink cotton crepe chemise with silk trim ($40) caught my eye.
Worth mentioning is the rack of ready-to-wear: a suede short sleeve top for $241 (was $825), silk shift dress at $175, silk blouse for $247 and linen blend navy pant $357 (was $510). Scattered on the floor are random shoes (Sartore brogues at $150 and Maloles/Pour la Victoire for $50). I must add that it’s great that this and the Thakoon sale starts at 8:30am… gives us enough time to get to work on time!

Lexi – that’s a good question… Most places will slash prices but depends on what’s left. Let us know if you happen to stop in before they close.
I went on the last day and there was no extra discounts. But the had lots of stuff in the bins. I ended up leaving with a bagful.
