The final days of most sales often bring better discounts… It’s sometimes worth checking out the goods on the last day. Today (Tuesday) brings additional discounts at the Ippolita sale in Soiffer Haskin on West 33rd Street. All the jewelry is now 70% off the retail price, except for the resin pieces which are much cheaper. The regular sized resin bangles with mother of pearl stones are now $35 each. Not a bad deal especially when these bracelets retail for $495. There were also a few rings for $20 and necklaces at $50.
As for other jewelry… some (especially the gold) will still set you back a few hundred dollars to four figures. Ippolita’s bangles are highly-sought after and that’s what most of the shoppers were focusing on this morning. In fact, one woman was walking around with her left wrist adorned in the label’s gold bangles with gemstones. Those were hers… she was apparently hoping to add more to her collection. The gold bangles are expensive. For example, a 9-stone bangle in starry night is now $959 (was $3,195), a 5-stone bangle in clear quartz is now $569 (was $1,895) and a hand-hammered 18K gold bangle is now $329 (was $1,095). There’s better deals for silver where a hand-hammered bangle is $88.50 (was $295) and a 3-stone diamond and topaz bangle is $178 (was $595). Sale ends at 7pm today.
Where/When: Soiffer Haskin, 317 W. 33rd St (b/w 8th & 9th Aves). Thru Tues, June 26th (9-7p).
