Another jewelry store downtown, Delicate Raymond, is hosting a sample sale this weekend. This one is taking place in the Lower East Side and features hundreds of pieces of 80s vintage jewelry starting at $5. Bracelets and necklaces are just $20 and vintage monograms at $50. Fashionable Femme Jen ventured in yesterday evening. Here’s her report:
Today through Sunday, a smorgasboard of vintage and handmade delights are decisively affordable at the Delicate Raymond Jewelry Bar sample sale. Handmade charm necklaces featuring animals, shapes, crosses, keys and much more (orig. $45) can be yours for $20.
Current season customizable bead + chain necklaces are on sale for $20. A velvet mannequin covered with vintage brooches showcases pieces for $5 each. Vintage bracelets, necklaces and earrings of all lengths—at $5 per item—fill tables near the door. A stand out to me is the selection of fun silver and gold clip-on earrings; clip-ons are hard to come by these days! If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and browse the extensive selection of vintage goods—there could be something unexpected waiting for you!
