The online site of designer jewelry, Charm & Chain, is hosting an off-line sale in Noho. Designers include Kara Ross, Alexis Bittar, Dannijo, Kendra Scott, and others at up to 70 percent off retail. Fashionable Femme Jen stopped in last night and gives us her report:
Charm and Chain’s sample sale is slightly hidden on the odd-numbered side of the 5th floor of 611 Broadway. However, for jewelry lovers young and old, a couple minutes of uncertainty are worth the access to the shiny, sparkly and colorful goodies adorning the walls and tables inside the sale space. A sizeable after-work crowd was browsing the wares Thursday evening, though there are many tables and enough room to comfortably try things without competition. There is one full-length mirror near the door and plenty of staff eager to chat and offer an opinion.
Featured brands include Fenton, Gerard Yosca, Noir, Alexis Bittar, Dannijo, Wendy Mink, House of Harlow, Badgley Mischka and many more. All jewelry is tagged and pricing ranges from $30 to $700. Stand-outs for me are the House of Harlow Feather Necklace for $125, a handful of large Frangos cocktail rings—each for $41 (Orig. $83), Dannijo Delphine and Queenie bracelets and the current season Fenton Black Leather Choker for $300 (orig. $750). Interestingly enough, there is also quite a selection of clip-on earrings ranging from $36 to $350. I haven’t seen clip-ons since the 90’s!
Depending on your taste in jewelry, this sale might be worth the trip. Selection is dwindling and most of the pieces scream trendy and edgy, though there are some classics in between. Pricing is a fair reduction from full retail—some more heavily discounted than others—so there are deals to be had.
