New York City-based costume jewelry line, Ted Rossi, is hosting a sample sale in the Garment District this week. The designer is known for his bold chic pieces, many of which are created using materials such as exotic skins and high-quality leather. Fashionable Femme Jen went into the sale looking for gifts… Here’s what she found:
Trendy baubles, bangles, clutches and more can be had at the Ted Rossi sample sale. Hidden on a street of carpet retailers, it’s one of those places where you have to ring the bell to get into the building. It took me a minute to find.
Inside the showroom, merchandise is arranged in three sections of shelving. The first holds neon items. Highlights here are the assorted bangles and bright orange clutches. The middle section has a brown and pink theme. Stand-outs are a soft leopard print cuff for $46 (orig$115), a thin pink snakeskin bracelet with gold studs for $74 (orig $185), and a gold cocktail ring with a pink gem for $42 (orig. $105). The far section follows a mostly black and white scheme. Here, I spy houndstooth and snakeskin and I debate whether to get a snakeskin clutch for $128 (orig $300+). I decide to skip.
While the selection is not vast, it’s not awful. There is one of each item and early birds will have the best pick. While I probably wouldn’t recommend making a special trip for the sale, it wouldn’t be bad to stop by, if you happen to be in the area. Happy Shopping!!
Where/When: 15 East 30th St., Suite 300 (b/w 5th & Madison). Oct 24-26; Wed-Fri (11-7pm).
