Our intrepid reporter, Fashionable Femme Jen, has been busy! After work, she took a chance at getting into the YSL sale. She walked in with little to no wait and managed to snag one photo before she was busted… That didn’t stop her from getting a look at the offerings and giving us an update:
This evening, there was no line to get into the YSL sample sale… but there were bags! Lots of them! However, the sheer abundance leads me to believe they are last year’s leftovers. There wasn’t really much to the women’s apparel section, but there were 3 long tables filled with bags ranging from $200 canvas totes (Black and cream with the YSL logo) to $800 Muse Two’s (purple, colorblock). There were piles of gold Y-Mail totes ($200) and clutches ($200), black patent Downtown bags, Roadys (stingray, cheetah, grey, black and white), and assorted others. Behind the staffed tables, there were bags in exotic skins (ostrich, lizard).
In the $50 accessories section, I saw a bunch of YSL Y-Mail mirrors for (orig. $245) and a couple cute brown YSL mini-notepads (about 1-inch-by-2 inches).
The shoe selection wasn’t so exciting—mostly wedges. I saw the same several styles repeated—red leather strappy wedges, white close toe wedges with red poppy print, and beige pumps. The pricing hasn’t dropped, so I left empty-handed. We’ll see what tomorrow brings…
