Tocca Sample Sale: Ready-to-Wear, Beauty & Bambini

Sweet feminine things can be had at the Tocca sample sale where merchandise is 60-80% off retail.  As I took the elevator up to the Chelsea showroom, I was met with the scent of wild daisies (Montecristo) wafting in the air.  When you walk into the room, you’ll find signature candles, shower gels and perfume neatly displayed on tables.  The clothing are hanging on racks organized by size.

A major draw at this sale are always the candles.  The large candles (10.6 oz) are $20 in limited scents.   I spotted Rodolfo, Ydra, Montecristo and Portofino.  Plus, there were quite a few of the holiday limited edition candle, Tocca Magi (a mix of incense, amber and orris rose with hints of Indian vetyver and saffron).  The smaller sized candles (2.85 oz) are $10.  For $25, you can get a set of 4 Candele da Viaggio (originally $42).  The body wash (English rose, blood orange and cucumber/grapefruit) is $10.  The Aqua Profumata (Amalfi, Salina, Catalina) were going for $25 (originally $38).  Solid perfume ($15) came in the following scents:  Stella, Cleopatra, Florence and Bianca.

As for clothing… lots of dresses ($85) in all sorts of colors, patterns and styles.  Some skirts ($45) were mixed in as well as pants ($45).  The few tops and knits were $40, coats at $100 and jackets $65.  I also noticed a rack of actual samples (pricing is the same as the overstock items).  In regards to sizing, there’s a range (0-12) but there’s so much more available in size 4 (at least 6 racks).  In a corner were darling girls dresses for $45 (mostly in size 4 and 5).
