A line formed Wednesday morning outside Soiffer Haskin for the Ralph Lauren friends & family biannual sale. The queue of shoppers snaked down West 33rd Street to 9th Avenue. Despite the fact that one needs a shopping pass to get into this sale, the turnout is always insane. Today, was no different.
Ralph’s employees got dibs on the merchandise yesterday. Today, friends and family of employees get their chance at what’s on offer.  The deals are pretty good, including dresses (blue label and Lauren) starting at $20, shirts at $15, handbags for under $50, belts for under $50, wallets at $20, ties for $10 (purple label ties are $25). There were some great collection pieces, including cashmere sweaters for $50, suede jackets and skirts for $100, leather jackets for $150. The only problem: sizing, most of the items are samples. That means, size 6 and 8 for women’s clothing. Almost all of the women’s shoes ($30) are size 6. The sale ends tomorrow. You have to have a shopping pass to get in.
Where/When: Soiffer Haskin, 317 West 33rd St. (west of 8th Ave). April 27 and April 28.  Wed (9-6p), Thurs (9-5p).

Those deals sound amazing! I tried to go today during the day but the line was just too insane — as soon as I got up there I just turned around and went back down to work. What a waste…
I did go to the Zero + Maria Cornejo sale today though (it was friends and family preview day, found out about it thanks to Racked who I think accidentally posted today’s times since all other sources say it’s a one-day sale tomorrow). It was pretty winter-centric, prices start at $50 and go up to $300 — almost all of her signature drapey dresses were $300, except for some samples (most of which were damaged). Also, most of the advertised $50 archive pieces were winter pieces. There were plenty of pants, sweaters, skirts, plain dresses, and shorts in the $100 – $150 range. There were also some Repetto shoes, and a single rack of (still very pricey) Lanvin/McQueen/Rick Owens. I ended up with walking out with silk neon green tank top for $50. I did overhear one lady saying that she’d bought one of the dresses there for less during the regular end-of-season sale at the boutique… but still I’d say it’s definitely worth going to if you’re a fan of the brand or if you’re in the neighborhood.
Oh and no dressing rooms so dress appropriately!
Anyone know how I can get an invite
