The staffers at Lauren Merkin gave me a sneak peek at the goodies before they opened the doors of their Garment District showroom to the public this morning. The set-up is very organized and you’ll find every conceivable handbag shape they make, available in a variety of leather & fabric material at 50-70% off the retail price.
For those of you looking ahead to the fall… the current season merchandise ($110-$125) is displayed on a table near the front door. Right next to that are some colorful neon clutches ($30-$50) in hot pink, yellow, green and blue. The neon colors really caught my eye… so much so that I ended up walking out with the Essex in hot pink.
As I mentioned earlier, there really is a lot of choice at this sale. Here are some examples of what I spotted: the Paige is now $195 ( was $495), the Blair $100-$150 (originally from $350-$495), the Marlowe is now $250 (was $525), the Daphne is from $125-$175 (was $425-$475). In a corner inside the alcove are the popular bargain boxes where you’ll find Dianas, Lucys, Allies, Avas from $30 to $60. Sale ends this Thursday…
