As you wait for the Barneys Warehouse Sale, you might want to check out another sale in Midtown that started today (Tuesday)… where you’ll find Italian designer duds from brands such as Just Cavalli, Galliano, Gianfranco Ferre , Costume National and more for 70 to 75 percent off the retail price.
Our intrepid contributor Sample Sale Diva checked it out and walked out with a couple of deals. The Diva managed to snap some photos. She reports that there’s lots of shoes and bags. You can find plenty of clothing (men & women) for under $150, including jeans ranging in price from $40-$90. Leather jackets are now $200-$450. Suits are $150-$350. Dresses are tagged at $75-$200. Handbags are starting at $90 and prices are gong up to $400. From the looks of her photos, there’s plenty of merchandise. The sale ends on Sunday.

what about prices of shoes?
That’s the IT Sample Sale that use to be in Battery Park City at their beautiful headquarters

BusyBee, I didn’t really get a chance to look at the prices of the shoes. I can only guess that they were cheaper than the bags. The average bag was $200 after the 70% was taken off. I think the bags were the most expensive items at the sale. The battery park spot was nice but so out of my way. I guess they figured if they take it to the Fashion District the sale would attract more shoppers.
OT but I’m so amped for Barneys tomorrow!!
They have a different owner now. It’s not the same. Prices are higher.
