There’s still plenty of summer days ahead of us… If you’re wanting to spruce up your summer wardrobe, this is a good time to head over to one of the department stores to have a look. Artsy Anna checked out the sale at Bergdorf Goodman where spring/summer merchandise is now up to 75% off original prices. Here’s what Anna found:
At 5 o’clock on Wednesday, the store was mostly empty save for the shoe department and young shoppers looking for bargains on 5F (the store’s contemporary floor). Shoes are at 50% off original prices — a YSL wedge is $397.50 (down from $795).
A walk through the third and fourth floor designer collections, which were mostly empty save for a pregnant woman browsing maternity-ready Rick Owens Maxi dress offerings, revealed Miu Miu green and pink jackets for $339 (down from $1350), Balenciaga separates for around $150-$250 (down from $625-$1000 and up), a Prada printed trench for $469 (down from $1860), a Victoria Beckham white sleeveless sheath dress for $1499 (down from $2494), and a Burberry knit trench for $389 (down from $1295).
On the fifth floor, items are 40-70% off. Shoes again are 50% off original and there is a small and unimpressive handbag and accessory sale section for 40% off.
If you can’t make it into the Fifth Avenue store, sale items can also be had online where the discount is up to 65% off…
