If you’re a fan of exotic skin handbags and accessories, you may want to check out the Carlos Falchi sale which opened to the public today near the Flatiron. Fashionable Femme Jen stopped in during yesterday’s preview. She found lots of snakeskin, python and more… Here’s her report:
There is rain and a short line leading into the Carlos Falchi sale this evening. Once inside, shoppers are greeted by long tables filled with canvas and exotic leather bags, sorted by type. Sale staff are happy to help and pricing is clearly marked on signs with pictures.
The cheaper items are near the door, including a small top zip cross body style (in many colors) and a canvas magnetic fold-over style for $50 each. Next, there is a more conservative basket weave pattern/solid metallic canvas handbag for $60 (orig. $495) each. Perhaps the deal of the sale, there is a handful of shiny blue top Zip purses for $20 (orig. $195) across from the registers. In the center of the room, there is a pile of small microfiber totes in 8 different colors for $50 (orig. $185) each. Other varieties include the Small All Over Python for $75 (orig. $325), the Large All Over Python and Skinny Python tote for $295 (orig. $795-1895). My favorite is the small snakeskin purse and long foldover clutches for $150 each (orig. $595 to $1295). The most unusual of the selection are the native patterned large totes for $395 (orig. $495 to $2,295).
The selection is pretty straightforward—a handful of styles in assorted colors. Stop by if you’re a Carlos Falchi fan or are looking for a python skin bag!
