We just had to take another look at the offerings at the Barbara Bui boutique in Soho where the doors open on Monday morning for a major sale.
We stopped in a couple of weeks ago when they were still setting up and we didn’t get a chance to see the footwear choices then. This time, we got a good look. There are a variety of styles – from platforms, heels to ankle booties as well as knee-length boots. While there was a good mix of different styles, the sizing was limited.
Merchandise Marked Down 80% off Retail
Most everything is 80% off retail. However, there’s a small selection of shoes and clothing at 90% off the original price. The sale merchandise can be found in a spacious area in the basement of the boutique.
I have to say that the store director is very organized and he’s created what feels like a store in a store. In the sale space, the merchandise has been nicely displayed for shoppers. The accessories – includes lots of belts, a few leather cuffs, some handbags (duffles, crossbodies, clutches, wallets, etc) – are easily visible in the front.
In the main space, is a long table with knits and sweaters (including cashmere, wool and cotton). On one side are the boxes of shoes and boots. On the other side is the clothing – a few coats, jackets and blazers. Plus, trousers, blouses and dresses.
As we mentioned in an earlier post, the apparel and accessories are from previous seasons. For those Bui fans, you’ll find a number of signature items here and a few specialty pieces. Definitely well worth the trip.
