I made a quick stop into the Theory sale in Soho on Wednesday… the discount is still at 70-percent off and there was a lot of merchandise left. A new shipment of goods just arrived when we got there. Staffers were taking the boxes into the back room so they could replenish the sales floor.
There were lots of Theory basics (knits, sweaters, pants and blazers) as well as Helmut Lang pieces, including coats (Mongolian fur jacket is now $465, was $1550; puffer jackets for $210, was $700; shearling coat for $975, was $3250; knit/felt coat for $328, was $1095). There were also Theyskens Theory garments hanging on racks and boxes of shoes and handbags (Theyskens small messenger in suede (now $208) and pony hair (now $253).
The sale is suppose to go through this Sunday… in the past Theory has extended the sale and on the last day, they’ve been known to offer further discounts.

were they unpacking any more (or any more sizes of) shoes?
Hi a – They took the boxes to the back room so I couldn’t see what they were unpacking… Although, it looked like they had put out more shoes (a couple of new styles) since the first day of the sale…

Rebecca – the Agrade Wedge Pumps were 70% off the retail $465.. so they were on sale for $140.

I stopped in just before they closed. The discount was the same and the SA told me this is the last day. Weird. They had so much stuff left.
Do you know if there’s any way that I can buy the item after the sample sale? ( or where can I find these clothes? outlet???)
I loved the black dress( or long top) with shoulder pad and jacket (also with shoulder pad, retail: around 700dollar). I couldn’t make it today….! It was first time for me to go this sample sale. It was great! I hope I can find these item somewhere… THanks!
Hi YJ – You can try a couple of things… 1. look online for the dress. 2. call the theory customer service hotline: 877.242.3317 (explain to them what you want and they may sell you the dress. Good luck!
