While I didn’t get a chance to check out the Manolo Blahnik sale at the Warwick Hotel yesterday, plenty of my fellow bloggers did a great job of covering it. New York Magazine’s blog The Cut managed to get some valuable advice from André Leon Talley who was the official master of ceremonies. The reporter came out with a black pair of satin heels with a T-strap after consulting with ALT who reportedly lost his cool when staffers found a “frumpy pair” of Cole Haan boots presumably left behind by a shopper.
Racked was also there bright and early line blogging before the doors opened. Plus, Racked provided great coverage inside as did NBC’s blog Thread NY.
A Sample Sally reader shared what she bought (pictured) below. Michelle who went with two other colleagues from work just before closing yesterday afternoon says the place was “packed with pushy women.” If you braved the madness, we’d love to hear your stories and if you walked away with one of the highly coveted shoes…

Sale was awesome and not totally filled with pushy women. As a size 41-42 the girls at my table were all helping each other find what they were looking for. When I was done with my picks (including quilted leather ballet flats!!!- IN BLACK) I went to the size 37 table to look for my friends and the table was not only totally picked over but the woman were RUDE AND NOT NICE. Several woman were grabbing 20 pairs and plopping down on the floor and not returning what they did not want but for me and my big feet it was amazing. 4 pairs of shoes ( one for a friend) and 2 pairs of boots total for all was under $1000. WORTH IT
